RECENT CHANGES MADE...

I have replaced the digital dash with a "one-off" custom aluminum dash featuring all electrical analog-style gauges. I retained the digital shift indicator but removed the digital clock and digital air temperature gauges from the console.

I have replaced the 340 engine with a
nice running 318, 4 bbl

I have replaced the headers and exhaust system. The old headers had 2 smashed tubes.

I have painted the engine bay to match the car.

I have replaced the 3.91 Suregrip rear end with a 2.76 open style.

I have raised the front end about 2 inches to get the headers a little further off the street.

I have removed the noisy electric fuel pump and gone back to using a quiet mechanical pump.

I have removed the driveshaft loop and engine torque strap.

disturb the neighbors too much.

This was a well-cared-for California car until I purchased it in 2003. It has always been garaged! Has straight, original body panels! Has perfect floors and frame rails. No rust or bondo! The original California Black Plates are included. I have clear title in my name and the car is currently registered and occasionally driven. The original fender tag is still on the car.

This is definitely a one-of-a-kind street or strip hot rod. It is an awesome cruiser and grabs attention everywhere it goes. It is also perfect for the drag strip. It goes straight and smooth even over 110mph, and stops with ease. There are custom features throughout, including:

  • Custom Paint - Go Green and Viper Metallic Blue with reflective pin stripe
  • Shaved fuel filler and cowl vent
  • Centerline Wheels - 14x7 Front, 15x9 rear
  • Cooper Cobra RWL tires - 215/60 Front, 245/60 Rear (less than 500 miles)
  • Re-chromed bumpers, marker lights & tail light bezels
  • New exterior door handles
  • Custom Digital Dash with programmable Dakota Digital and Nordskog Gauges
  • Custom LED dash Indicators
  • Custom In-Dash Shift Light
  • Electric Trunk Release
  • Custom Console with Digital Clock, Digital Inside and Outside Air Temp
  • Painless Rocker Switches (and Relays) Control all Functions and Lighting
  • Grant Steering Wheel
  • Road Runner beep-beep Horn
  • Interior is Foil Insulated
  • Custom lightweight black tweed Interior
  • Unique custom interior panels, & package tray
  • 6-Point Roll Cage (door bars have been removed)
  • Dual Racing Seats with Crow Harnesses
  • Fiberglass pin-on 6-pack Hood
  • Custom Lloyds Floor Mats
All of the lights, gauges, wipers, flasher, and horn operate perfectly. The engine starts easily and runs extremely well. The car runs very cool - consistently around 190 degrees, even on the hottest days. The four-wheel drum brakes work perfectly. No power brakes or power steering. There is no a/c, heater, or back seat - all removed to lighten the vehicle for the drag strip.
